Why Deleted?

I deleted the last post cause it was a post bitching about my exam on Monday night, which I believed I bombed by the way. I bad mouthed consolidation and mentioned by association by name. The post had already been published, so I thought it was best if there was a record of transaction. Gees! I'm still talking accounting. Fuck me!

Anyways, since my exam, I have dreamt about accounting twice. What the fuck does that mean? God only knows.

Right now I am reading a novel I have been waiting to read since I started this course. Hopefully, I should finish it sometime today. Pending on how needy Brandon is.

Now my current dilemna is (I am saying cause I need some suggestions or adivce) is where to put up the Christmas tree. I need lots of room for under the tree cause there will a huge amount of presents under the tree. Why? Cause we are hosting Christmas with my family this year. That and there will many presents for Brandon, no doubt. But with Brandon's ever increasing strength, he will be able to grab branches and possibly pull it down...on himself. I don't want that. And thirdly, what about extension cords? Brandon likes to grab extension cords and lick the prongs. That's a no no! Can't have that. So anyone who knows the layout of my upstairs living room, please suggest what I can do to keep it baby friendly as possible.

My idea on it: I really would love to have the tree in the middle of the window. (There is nothing quite as lovely as walking by a house and seeing a Christmas tree all lit up. *sigh*) Anyways, but that would involve the cord for the lights dangling to an electircal outlet. That's a no no! Maybe we could pin it up, below the window frame? I don't know. Any thoughts?

In terms of him grabbing branches, do what we do with to stymie our cat: Don't put too many decorations on the lower branches that may inspire little hands to grab them.

I'd have to see where your outlets are set up before I could suggest what to do about the extension cords. My best suggestion would be to get the cords as close to the outlet as possible, then position the tree so that it blocks access for the little one. Or try putting the presents on top of the cords, forcing him to dig for them.

Granted, people with children may have better advice for you. I just know what keeps cats away. And they don't usually lick the prongs on extension cords.

Good ol' theatre trick: Tape the cords down.

I say put the tree in the window, it'll look great there. If you're really worried about him getting at the tree, why not put the coffee table in the way?

And I agree with not putting to many flashy ornaments within reach. Makes the whole thing less tempting.
