So, I saw "King Kong" last night. And I actually liked it. I managed to only go to the bathroom once durring the 3 hours. I was quite proud of myself. The action is pretty gripping. That Naomi Watts, she surprised me. She carries that film and, she does a fantastic job. I wasn't a fan after she did the atrocity "The Ring 2", but she comes through on this one. The love story between her character and the Kong was compelling. Congrats to Andy Serkis, again, for emoting a CGI character and making him sympathic. And Adrian Brody. Why was he in this film? His character was rather pointless. His roll could have been cast by anybody. Jack Black, as usual, is the unsympathetic guy, with a sceme out to make a quick buck. And he's unredeemable at the end, as usual. So, the usual Jack Black then. Aside from that, the giant bugs were gross and distrurbing. And so were the natives. I had flashes of "Cannibal Holocaust" going through my head. Not a good time.
Overall: A must see for the big screen. It really does make it more EPIC.
So, my child is going to go through some serious SUGAR withdrawls, after the holidays or, if I get diagnosed with gestational diabeties. Whichever comes first. I have eaten so much chocolate and/or desert over the last month, that I am reeling from all the sugar coursing through my veins. I'm sure the baby is delighted with all the temporary energy he got. What kid doesn't like sugar? Well, lets hope his pancreas agrees with him. And me too!
