This Seriously Did Happen

I was standing at the doorway to the bathroom describing to Lee what I was learning in my current Accounting modeule.

Me: There are two methods of translating foreign currency financial statements. The current mothod and temporal method. And depending if the parent and subsidiary have an integrated relationship depends on which method you use. You have to translate, line by line, using the correct exchange rate for that item. Then, you can use what was learned in the previous modueles and consolidate the financial statements.

(Lee turned towards me.)

Lee (singing): It's fun to charter an accountant. And sail the high accounting seas...

I was so mad. I thought he was making fun of me. Lee laughed and told me it was Monty Python. Apparently, they make fun of accountants regualarly in Python. Really? Sounds....interesting.

Accountancy Shanty

It's fun to charter an accountant,
And sail the wide accountan-cy.
To find, explore the funds offshore,
And skirt the shoals of bankruptcy.

It can be manly in insurance.
We'll up your premium semi-anually.
It's all tax-deductible,
We're fairly incorruptible.
We're sailing on the wide accountan-cy.
