Ice Cream

Right now, I am craving ice cream. Smooth vanilla soft serve with strawberries on top....mmmm. Maybe I can talk my brother into taking me for ice cream tonight. How about it?

Right before I woke up, I was going swimming with my co-workers. As soon as I got into the pool, the water was warm and boyant. I was lovin' it. I was on my side, I didn't feel pregnant. It was relaxing and great. Then my crappy alarm woke me up.

Before that, I was in a store, trying to buy some Maple Buds. Hey, anybody remember Maple Buds? Those were a great candy. I miss Maple Buds. They were a mouth-watery chocolat-y candy that was just simply delicious. Damn, I want some right now. Unforunatly, you get them anywhere. Not even online. Trust me, I looked.

When Lee got home yesterday, he fed me and I was happier. Yesterday's crappiness must've been due to hunger angst. So we stayed in and watched Clone Wars Vol 2 and Xmen 2. I don't know what it is, but I am feeling very geeky right now.

Oh, one more neat thing from yesterday, I played junior some music to see what he would like. One or two punches durring heavy beats. I played him the theme to "The Practice". Maybe he didn't like that one. After I switched to something dreamy, like classical piano and classic movie themes. I frequently felt steps on my bladder. (Which reminded me it was full.) I think he was dancing in there. That's cool!

I craved DQ Blizzards. Chocolate dipped strawberry Blizzards, actually. H had to pick them up for me pretty often. Yum!

J used to like when I'd read to him. We bought this little cheapo book (Oh Baby The Places You'll Go, by Dr. Seuss) that I would read to him several times a day. He reacted to it with big kicks, and that was lots of fun! It also helped lull him to sleep once the story was done.

If you decide to pick it up, just make sure you get "Oh Baby The Places You'll Go". There's a Dr. Seuss with a similar title (Oh The Places You'll Go) which is much more expensive and also meant for older children.

I'm glad you're having fun with junior!

I remember when I was pregnant with Izzy (podling at the time) and I was at church on Easter day, when they started playing the Halleluia Chorus at the end of the service she totally started dancing around inside. I think she liked it. She still really likes music.

Also, be happy that they are sending the peson who will be doing your job while you're on Mat Leave over for training. The sooner he is trained the sooner you can leave without feeling that you are leaving them in the lurch. As the day comes closer you may feel that you want to start your Mat Leave a little earlier so you have some time to just relax and get ready for the baby.
