St.Valentine's Day

Today, Lee and I have been married for 3 years. Holy crap! 3 years! Wow, that's longer than Jennifer Lopez has been married to anybody! That's awesome!

Lee had a gift for me. (Damn him! I didn't get him anything!) Anyways, he worked really hard on a KISS song. My favourite in fact. "Sure Know Something". What he did was sing vocals while two of his friends recorded the soundtrack and mixed the two together. It was unexpected but good. I can't believe Lee can sing. I never heard him sing before. Maybe we should go to Kareokee. NAH! We snuggled and listened to Paul Stan...no Lee singing "Sure Know Something." It was cute. I need to hear it again.

Lee and I both took the day off. We slept in. (For like an extra hour.) Then we got up and Lee went to do something. I'm not sure what. I parked my butt on the couch and caught up on what Jack Bauer did last night. God, Kiefer Sutheland is intense! I love it. Then...

We got dressed and out and of the house around 10am. We picked up some flowers for our moms and some chocolate. We delivered them to my mom at home and we stopped by Vic Comp and delivered them to Lee's mom. Both were quite delighted to get a present. I think we made their day. I hope so. We were invited to join Lee's parents at BP's for dinner. Like us, they were planning to share a heart shaped pizza. Why not? I was thinking of having dinner with them again. Tonight seems fine.

An interesting surprise happened today. Something I would never have thought of. Lee and I were at Kingsway, having lunch. (Well, he had a lunch. I had two.) We picked up some DQ for dessert and started walking around. I felt someone touch my shoulder and I turned around. It was my old best friend. It was like we were back in time. She had long hair again. She hadn't had long hair since junior high, I think. We briefly caught up. She noticed I was VERY pregnant. I told her about the house etc. etc. She still worked at the same youth centre. She is living on her own by West Mount and looked very happy. It was really nice to see her. We exchanged numbers and will hopefully be able to hang out sometime. Don't know about that with my lack of mobility. But I would like to try. Anyways, it was just nice.

Lee and I came home around 2pm and...had a nap. Can you believe it? Not anything romantic or sexy. We just SLEPT together. The bed was warm and cozy. We just snuggled and slept. Is this what it has come down to? Quality time with one's husband is being able to snuggle and snooze? *sigh* Too bad you can't bank sleep for when you need it. Double *sigh* I'm not saying the sleep was bad or anything. It's just...sleeping together, literally, is very nice, but not spectacular. An orgasim is spectacular. Sleep...is just cozy and refreshing. But I'll take the sleep. Afterall, it is nice.
